Does the Oven Count as a Screen?
I am currently in the process of roasting a chicken. Garlic, thyme, olive-oil soaked mirapoix… The works. Anywho, I turned on the oven light to check on the progress of said chicken and found myself, several minutes later, questioning whether watching the chicken fat slowly drip-dropping over the potatoes and carrots is just tv. Dirty food porn. And also, is it at all bad for you to have your unblinking eyes an inch away from the oven for hours at a time? My experience with microwaves would suggest no. Hmm, I should really get that crack in the microwave door fixed… But, then how will I really see what’s going on in there?
